The cornett, an instrument as fascinating as it is today unknown to the general audience, was very popular between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, especially in Italy, where performed the best cornettists of the period like Girolamo Dalla Casa, Giovanni Bassano and Luigi Zenobi, known as “il Cavaliere del Cornetto”.

The ensemble, wich proposes music that highlights the expressive, virtuosic and extravagant qualities of this rare instrument, is founded in 2017 and lead by the cornetto player Andrea Inghisciano, composed of David Brutti on cornetto, Anaïs Chen on violin and tenor viola, Nicola Procaccini and Maria Gonzalez on organ and harpsichord, and collaborates with other musicians and singers.
